New Work Inspired by Exmoor: Solo Exhibition at The Plough Arts Centre
Artist Q&A at Private View
I’m so happy to share news of my new solo exhibition at The Plough Arts Centre in Great Torrington, Devon. Solo Show held on 15th April- 02nd May 2026
This exhibition feels especially meaningful as The Plough has held National Portfolio Organisation status with Arts Council England since 2023, recognizing its important role in supporting arts and culture in the region. It is a privilege to show my work in a venue with such a strong commitment to contemporary creative practice and community engagement.
The exhibition has been curated by Grace Rodgers, whose thoughtful approach and enthusiasm for the work made the whole process a pleasure from the beginning. Grace first contacted me in January to discuss the possibility of an exhibition, and later visited my home studio to meet in person and spend time with the work. That studio visit was a valuable opportunity to talk through ideas, themes, and how the exhibition might take shape within the gallery space.
The exhibition features new paintings and linocuts exploring the landscape of Exmoor and the wildflowers of Britain. These themes have long inspired my practice, offering an endless source of colour, texture, movement, and seasonal change. Through both paint and print, the works reflect my continuing connection to the natural world and the rich character of the British landscape.
The private view was wonderfully well attended, and I was pleased to take part in a Q&A during the event. It was a real pleasure to speak about the work, discuss my process and inspirations, and share the evening with so many visitors. Thankyou to all who visited.
