Nature in Art Residential Course on Exmoor with Luna North

This month I am opening my studio to visitors as a part of Devon Open Studios 2021, I would love to see you.

I was so pleased to be featured in the Autumn 2021 issue of Exmoor Magazine. In shops now with a four page spread about my work as an artist on Exmoor.

I am delighted to have be invited to run art workshops for A Nest of Gentle Makers on a residential retreat at Buconnoc House in Cornwall coming up in October.

Spending time down the lane, I have been sitting close to an area of ancient woodland & in the dappled shade of the wood I charted the first of our wildflowers.

What an amazing experience it was to work with the Devon and Cornwall film team and produce this painting ‘Wintry Exmoor’ specially for the feature.

I felt inspired to create a series of small frost paintings, little Winter wonderlands. Find these in my shop from 6pm Tuesday 15th December.

I see drawing as storytelling about the landscapes, wildflowers, creatures and their habitats, a modern view of the British countryside.

June and July have been all about exploring the boggy habitats of Exmoor. I have created two new prints focusing on the wildflowers of Exmoor.

On a sunny winters day I walked along a countryside lane, looking over a hedge, a ray of sunshine burst from the clouds illuminating and dancing across the view.

When I came across a grove of hawthorn trees, this winter tree appeared to have a musical shape, with the crimson berries marking the rhythm across the branches.

A range of mini prints celebrating the wild flowers in the fields and hedgerows - colourful gems in just two colours overlaid to create a third tone.
