The Beauty of Wild Berries
I had been sitting at my desk all day, the rain pouring down the windows, then at 6 o’clock the clouds parted and changed from leaden to cream, and billowing - time for a walk.
On Exmoor with the huge blue early evening sky above me I came across a grove of hawthorn trees. A grove of trees feels sacred to me.
One tree appeared to have a musical shape, with the crimson berries marking the rhythm across the branches. I photographed the view and knew immediately that I wanted to create a linocut landscape print from the moment.
Print available in my shop.
